1. Overview

NoClip: Backrooms ("the App") is developed and operated by Minner Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App. We are committed to respecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to play. We collect the following types of data:

• Game state data: Your in-game actions, stats (HP, Sanity, Hunger, Thirst), inventory, level progress, and conversation history are sent to our server to generate AI-powered narrative responses. This data is not linked to your identity.
• Purchase data: If you purchase turn packs via in-app purchase, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID.
• Game Center data: If you opt into Game Center, Apple handles your Game Center profile and leaderboard data. We receive only your Game Center alias and scores for leaderboard display.
• Feedback data: If you submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, we collect the feedback text and category you provide, along with basic game context (current stats, level). This is used solely to improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Generate AI-powered narrative responses during gameplay
• Track your game progress and meta-progression (locally on your device)
• Display Game Center leaderboards (if you opt in)
• Improve the App based on player feedback

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Your in-game actions and conversation history are sent to Anthropic's API to generate narrative responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data processing. No personal information is included in these requests.
• RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchase validation and turn pack entitlements. RevenueCat receives anonymous transaction data from Apple — no personal information is shared.
• Apple Game Center: Provides leaderboard functionality. Governed by Apple's privacy policy. Participation is optional.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Game save data and meta-progression (journal, run history, survival instincts) are stored locally on your device. Conversation history sent to our server for AI processing is not permanently stored — it exists only for the duration of the API request. Feedback submissions are stored as GitHub Issues for the development team to review.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all local game data at any time by deleting the App from your device. Since we do not maintain user accounts or persistent server-side data linked to your identity, there is no additional data to request deletion of.

7. Children's Privacy

NoClip: Backrooms contains horror-themed content and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App does not require account creation or personal data input.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
